ARVADA,
Colo. (May 3, 2010) — Today the Arvada
Chamber of Commerce and Church Ranch held a ribbon cutting to officially
designate Candelas Parkway.Candelas
Parkway is a 2.6 mile four-lane divided roadway that connects Indiana
Street to Hwy. 72; and serves as the backbone
roadway for the Candelas Development.Participants
in the ribbon cutting ceremony included representatives from Candelas, City of Arvada,
Arvada Chamber of Commerce, Arvada Economic Development Association, Arvada
Urban Renewal Authority, and many others.
The opening of Candelas
Parkway is one part of the infrastructure
constructed by Jefferson County Metropolitan District with funding and assistance
from Arvada Urban Renewal Authority.Candelas
Parkway infrastructure included: 7 miles of sanitary sewer; 14 miles of potable
water line; an underground 825,000-gallon water tank and pump station; various
drainage structures and drainage improvements.
Key individuals for Candelas
1500-acre development are Charlie McKay and Gregg Bradbury of Church Ranch; Jeff
Neding of Cimarron Commercial LLC, Frank Kelley of CB Commercial Real Estate,
and residential developers are Brian Daly and Creig Veldhuizen of Terra Causa
Capital LLC.
