Gold Line Celebration this Wednesday starting at 2:30 p.m. in Olde Town Arvada. This is a historic event in Arvada that has been 30 years in the making. DON'T MISS IT!

2:30 - Ice cream social and ribbon cutting for the RTD commuter rail car display located in the Olde Town Square (next to the Arvada Library). Mayor Frie will host this event with Channel 9 meteorologist, Marty Coniglio, serving as emcee for the ribbon-cutting celebration. Three of our famous Olde Town ice cream vendors will provide special cool treats FREE to you. They are Cheesecake Therapy, Cold Stone Creamery, and Scrumptious. Arrive a little early and be treated to the sounds of a barber-shop quartet along with the creamy, cold ice cream.
3:00 - RTD will orchestrate an official ceremony and groundbreaking for the Gold Line. We expect many high level officials and media in attendance.
Immediately following the ceremony will be a street fair on Grandview Avenue from approximately 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. There will be music, face painting, games, food, and everything that a street fair should have.
