Jefferson Economic Council Names Kevin Mccasky as President/ceo

McCasky Named President/CEO

McCasky has been a Jefferson County Commissioner since January 2005. He previously served as Jefferson County Assessor for 6 years. JEC’s immediate past Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Search Committee, Michael R. McGinnis, a partner with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP said, “I am excited by the opportunity of having Kevin assume the leadership of JEC. He has served on our Board for 6 years and immersed himself in the details of promoting our economy. Kevin emerged through the search and interview process as the one candidate with the most extensive knowledge of Jefferson County and its economic potential.”

Mike Partheymuller, Chairman of JEC and Vice-President, U.S. Operations, Carma Developers, said, “The Selection Committee engaged the executive search firm of Jorgenson Consulting to undertake a regional and national search of available candidates.

Over 50 qualified candidates from 15 states including Colorado, were evaluated. Personal interviews were conducted in early December and a short list of candidates was invited back for a second interview in January. Our Selection Committee’s unanimous choice was Kevin McCasky.”

Partheymuller added that “McCasky is recognized throughout the region and the State for his leadership, passion and advocacy in the economic development area. The Economic Development Council of Colorado honored him last year as the outstanding volunteer who had demonstrated a multi-year commitment to the vitality, growth and sustainability of the Colorado economy. We are thrilled that he will be focusing his attention full time on fulfilling the mission of JEC.”
