(Arvada, CO) – Sundyne Headquarters has received national recognition for its worker safety program. Sundyne Arvada facility was named a “STAR Site” within the Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), which recognizes worksites with comprehensive safety and health management systems that incorporate strong management commitment and meaningful, active employee involvement.
Safety is our top priority at Sundyne and the VPP program takes our safety commitment to a new level. Earning VPP Star Site recognition is something that our Sundyne employees are very proud of. It is proof they share Sundyne’s commitment to worker and community safety.
The qualification process included a comprehensive audit of the facility’s safety, health, training and operational programs; in depth employee interviews about their understanding of the company’s safety programs; and detail on how the company conducts business.
The truest test of any great company is how well it protects the safety and health of its people. The STAR award is recognition of Sundyne’s commitment to its safety and health programs and taking care of its people.
The VPP was created in 1982 to encourage industry-related facilities to strive for safety excellence. VPP sites have shown their commitment to employee protection extends beyond the OSHA standards. Companies who achieve the VPP Star Award display injury and illness rates at or below the national average of their competitors.
